One room in Venice: a living room beneath timber beams, its floor inlaid, its walls hung with slabs of violet-veined marble. A green velvet sofa curves before the stone, and at one end a bar is set into an arched recess, its bottles lit on bronze shelves above a sculpted table of marble, glass and bronze.
The Room
The room keeps its old frame — beams, panelling, tall windows — and sets new things against it: veined marble, green velvet, bronze.
The Bar
The bar is an arch in the wall, lined in marble and lit from its shelves. Before it stands a table carved from the same stone.
Material Register
Marble carved and cut into panels, bronze turned into columns and spheres, and patterned stone framed in brass.
